Venture Capital Lab
The Venture Capital Lab provides students with tools and techniques to evaluate entrepreneurial firms from a venture capitalists’ perspective. The seminar blends a thorough theoretical introduction to venture valuation and venture capital deal structuring with the practical evaluation and negotiation with entrepreneurial firms.

Application Requirements : The seminar is restricted to Master students. The application window will open on Monday, 27th of September, 2021. We will select the 10 participants and inform them accordingly. Please note applying via TUMonline does not guarantee a seat in the seminar.

Learning Goals: After the seminar, students will (1) have a better understanding of entrepreneurial firms’ success factors and tools to realistically quantify their potential (for profit), (2) develop skills to evaluate the overall potential and profitability of an entrepreneurial firm from the perspective of an investor, (3) develop skills for working in the equity investment industry, in particular as venture capitalist (but, to some extent, also as growth companies’ stocks equity analyst or in a private equity firm), (4) be able to negotiate investment contracts.
