Technology Entrepreneurship Lab
Welcome to Technology Entrepreneurship Lab (E-Lab), a three-month program where students immerse themselves in entrepreneurial coaching. Supported by professional coaches, trainers, and senior coaches, participants acquire coaching skills and guide entrepreneurial teams through their learning journey in the Business Plan Basic Seminar and Tech Challenge. With a focus on enablement, E-Lab welcomes students in their final bachelor's or all master's semesters with entrepreneurial and coaching experience. This high-commitment program emphasizes practical learning and collaboration, offering participants the opportunity to earn the UnternehmerTUM Academy for Innovators’ entrepreneurial coach certificate while deepening their interpersonal skills and becoming integral members of the UnternehmerTUM ecosystem.

Application requirements : Open to students in their last bachelor semester or all master semesters. You bring entrepreneurial experience (e.g. internship in a startup, own entrepreneurial venture). You gained first coaching experience (e.g. helping younger students, training teams or something alike). Ideally, you took part in Tech Challenge, Business Plan Basic Seminar, or a similar course by UnternehmerTUM.
About the program
E-Lab offers a transformative journey for students eager to delve into the dynamic world of startups and innovation.
Our learn-by-doing education unfolds in two phases: First, you will acquire and improve coaching skills during our two-day FULL-TIME kickoff, and consecutive deep dive workshops. Second, you will guide up to three entrepreneurial teams from Business Plan Basic Seminar or Tech Challenge throughout the semester. In these interactive workshops, you will refine your entrepreneurial coaching skills and put them into practice while guiding and supporting entrepreneurial teams through various stages of their development.
From the initial ideation phase to the validated business idea, you will gain hands-on experience by working directly with the entrepreneurial teams in real-life settings. In addition, E-Lab offers a supportive ecosystem facilitated by UnternehmerTUM, providing access to industry experts, networking opportunities, and ongoing self-development.

Before you apply, please check the dates! You find the coaching outlines linked below. Missing parts of E-Lab Education is an absolut No-Go, you need to be with us full-time as indicated!
STEP 1: APPLICATION BASICS
- Fill out the first form and let us know your basic information
STEP 2: APPLICATION DETAILS
- After filling out the first form, we will send you the link to the second form
- Here we want to get to know you better, so please provide information about your personal experiences (filling out this form takes about 30 minutes)
STEP 3: SELECTION
- We consider every application equally, and select based on your aptitude towards coaching and fulfilment of the application requirements indicated above
- If we then still have more applicants than seats, for fairness reason we will select participants randomly
STEP 4: ANNOUNCEMENT
- The final participants will be announced on March 27, 2024
- You will need to confirm your seat within one week after the announcement, otherwise it will be given to participants on the waiting list
- If you are not selected or cannot participate this semester, please note that E-Lab is offered every winter and summer semester

Who can participate in E-Lab?

Throughout the program, participants receive support from professional coaches and trainers, as well as ongoing reflection with their senior coach. Furthermore, the UnternehmerTUM ecosystem offers networking opportunities and insights into real-life industry challenges.

How is E-Lab graded?
The grade consists of the participant’s coaching contributions to the teams and the community throughout the semester as well as a reflection paper at the end of the semester.
